Ah, stingy lint. Sounds 1960s to me.

Wonder if there's a way to date vintage suits by lint.

I'm sure you can by the content using a mass spectrometer.

If you can mail me the lint, I can take it down to JPL and have them run an analysis.

It should give the content... dating it will be harder to accomplish as carbon dating such new materials is out of the question...

Doc, do you find the lint is of a different quality over in London? What do you think of 'bespoke' lint?

I know I may be speaking out of turn, though the lint from new super 120's and 150's fabric tends to accumulate faster than from the vintage materials.

It could be because the vintage materials have already discipated all the lintable loose threads or that the denser fabrics are just less lintable.

What do yu think?

Do you find that modern super 80's lint at a slower rate?

The material not being directly in the pocket and the pocket traditionally being made of cotton... should I be getting that much woolen lint in my pockets?

Lintable? Methinks you need an Oxford Dictionary. The word is lintalated.
