I've lurked for awhile and finally decided to join and post! I've learned much from reading posts and I thank all of you for the knowledge I've gained.

I enjoy wearing my fedoras (I have a Stetson, a Bailey, and an old Knox) though living in Central Florida makes it often too hot to wear the hats I like best.

It's nice to find a group of people who understand the lure of a nice hat. Again, hello!

I don't let our Florida heat stop me. I just have to take 'em off and use 'em as a fan once in a while. Probably got used to it from wearing westerns since I was six. When the full fledged Florida summer sets in I'll be wearing straws more often though, that's for sure.

What hulkamad said. I'm new here and have learned more in a month than I have in my decades of hat wearing solo. A sincere thanks to all.

Tampahound...I was in Fla for a bit...ten days in Tampa. And I wore my Brent Black. It did great and was super comfortable. The only concern I had was when it rained...which it did every afternoon. But it held out.

I'm thinking that for summer, I may check out a Akubra Capricorn. That may work for ya
