I'm not versed in these playboy models, so I'm enjoying this thread. This one is a favorite on sight!

Absolutely wonderful. The lines are much like my NW Hats clone, a real statment.
The embossed sweat... is that 1950's? Great Playboy , Ant.it may sound like a simple desire ... but I have wanted a grey Playboy with a black ribbon for the longest time
... not an easy thing to find in my size and in good condition as you may think .
'50s era Playboy for the family album

Early fifties makes sense to me. It's a beautiful hat!It is indeed
Possibly a sweat left over from 40s stock
But the liner and manufacturer tag tells me it is 50s
Possibly early

nice hatc.1940s (?) Does not have the original liner, and sweat is extremely fragile in spots. Hat is unreeded, and carries a rae edge. The stetson crest has the stars instead of the 50s leaf.
The felt color is a light olive green, with a grey/green ribbon & bow.
This is the first playboy I've handled, and i think it is a nice start

it's a good looking hat, the felt looks really good in the pictures. Will the sweat stay together, and does it fit you?c.1940s (?) its possible that the hat lost the ribbon and liner and went in for a replacement, hence the replacement liner?nice hat
doesn't look like a Playboy ribbon to me ... strange
and I don't see the decorative brim stitch so I would guess 40s ... yes ... from what I gather the stitch disappeared from most of the 40s then reappeared late in the decade or in the early 50s
honestly, if i keep it, it'll probably get a replacement sweat. dont want to chance this one.. it fits as a 7 1/8, and fits me perfectlyit's a good looking hat, the felt looks really good in the pictures. Will the sweat stay together, and does it fit you?

Color somewhat resembles the "college" hat to the right on the ad

Nice color combo on that one , Justin! I would be tempted to look under that liner to see if it has the Stetson logo on the inside of the crown. Could be a un-linereed version that someone added a liner at some point.honestly, if i keep it, it'll probably get a replacement sweat. dont want to chance this one.. it fits as a 7 1/8, and fits me perfectly
