While stateside I was very lucky to have been gifted by some members a few lovely little pieces of Americana do add the finishing touches to any vintage/classic attire I might be wearing.
The cufflinks are made from an old pair of dimes (dated 1941 and 1936) which make for an interesting display item.
The tie pin/retainer is dated the year this private East Coast/Ivy League gents' club was opened on the banks of the Charles' River beside Boston in 1921.
I also came across a lovely old 40's '48' star flag which can be worn on my lapel and the enamel has darkened nicely to create that olde/vintage patina that only age can give.

So, what little items do you have to display, that lift your suit, or your shirt and give YOU that extra lift of confidence when you go out...?;)

On Hiatus. Really. Or Not.
Bumping this oldie....

I have a few that I've collected and wear (infrequently). WWII era, mostly:

Royal Air Force:

USN Seabees:

Boeing Stratoliner:

These are all pretty small. The scans are approximately 3X.

I am a leading collector of Stratoliner (Boeing 307) memorabilia, my dad had a surplus USN Seabees dump truck, and I'm a big fan of the RAF's contribution to WWII.

Also, awaiting delivery of this 1930s-1940s TWA lapel pin recently fished from the Bay:

LGB (Balfour) made a lot of the USAAF silver wings during WWII, which makes this pin worth a pit more.

I have a '30's vintage sterling tie clasp from the Canadian National Exhibition that always elicits a comment or two.

That's one swell P-38 pin, Mr. Brown!

I lucked across a nice tie bar in the bottom of a bin at my volunteer "employer"'s museum store. It's the iconic PCC streetcar, in a paint scheme close to Pittsburgh Railways.

I'm slowly working on making a few hat pins, too. A bead shop opened in my college town this past year, so I bought a few interesting pieces to eventually turn into pins.
