No I agree on that. And like I said I actually love it. Just have never worn Velour not sure I can pull it off. I’m chewing it over though. It might happen. It’s definitely rock n roll and sleek as hell.Well, if you're not sure you'll wear it then no, skip it but... On the other hand, it seems like such a massive statement piece you're guaranteed to bring only fun when wearing this. Anything that's not boring is good in my book.

Don’t encourage me. I feel like it’s a purchase I’ll regret. Not much market for flipping it here! What’s wrong with me!

I believe it is “official” and the line is supposedly based on the 68 Comeback Special. Most of the line again doesn’t seem to have much Elvis looking things to it. More like they got the license and just made a bunch of stuff with TCB on it and like 2 shirts with his face on it. But I came across this jacket and was like wow of all things this looks great.Elvis is definitely an odd choice, prima facie, for Pretty Green as they're very much soft-60s mod oriented in their style. (Or, at least, a retro-themed variation thereon. I know some actual mods who wouldn't be seen dead in a parka and refer to that sort of a thing with a sneer and the term "comedy mod". The mod equivalent of ShowaddyWaddy claiming to be Teds....). That said, there are people out there who regard Elvis as having been at his peak in the few years between the 68 Comeback Special and his decline in the tail end of the Vegas period, and this is very much something I could imagine him wearing over his shoulders when arriving at Vegas airport.
It does have a great look - personally. I think it would be enhanced without the cod-military buttons, but ymmv. I wonder if it is an officially licenced product - that TCB logo looks very much like something Gracelands Estate would apply.
I agree with every aspect you’ve just said. All I can add is that I highly recommend checking out “As It Was” the documentary that came out a year or two ago about and by Liam. Sure it’s biased since he was so heavily involved in its creation. But it’s a nice time capsule of how far he’s come from the demons of the past. He will always have a big mouth and have swagger but he’s a much smarter and kind person than he used to be. Plus he’s the better Gallagher as Noel has taken some iffy stances on politics lately and Covid but those are topics not to be touched here. But if you haven’t seen it, it’s actually quite good.A few interesting bits. The polo with the TCB logo is pretty cool, though I'd be slightly wary that from a distance it might look like the Fred Perry design they recently cancelled because of those 'proud boy' idiots. The jailhouse rock striped top is cool enough, though really it's just another striped t-shirt. More Lee Marvin in The Wild One than what Elvis actually wore:

Note how Elvis is actually wearing a collared shirt with the stripes; the jacket itself in this sequence was actually collarless. That's something many 'reproducers' get wholly wrong. The other denim jacket in this collection looks like a Wrangler - View attachment 280068
I'm sure I've seen pictures of Elvis wearing a Wrangler 121MJ back in the day (though he was never one for jeans, and didn't wear 'em outside of the movies). It's a pity, though, that they didn't think to actually repro the actual denim jacket from the Jailhouse Rock prison sequences:

I actually think that's pretty cool. Definitely more interesting than another version of a Type 3! I'll give them a pass on the smaller collar on the 68 Special jacket, though, given they want people to actually wear it on the street! The 'souvenir' jacket I actually really liked the look of until I spotted the Pretty Green logos inserted into the logo on the chest. Wouldn't have had an issue had that only been internal, but it ruins the jacket for me on the exterior. Had it but been the unmolested Elvis original logo, I'd be seriously watching for a sale on that one.
I wonder if Liam's angle on this (aside from $$$$) is rooted in his love/hate relationship with the Beatles, and John Lennon's declaration "Before Elvis there was nothing."
Sigh. I really liked the first album, but by the time Oasis hit their commercial peak, they were already creatively bankrupt. As much as anything the victims of believing their own lazy hype via lazy journalism; they never sounded anything like the Beatles until after the press kept claiming they did. If anything, Definitely Maybe was vastly more of a T-Rex sound. I adored that swagger Liam had on Rock'n'Roll Star, singing that so defiantly to fifty people in a club at the time... A sort of Sid Vicious for his generation (minus the untimely death, minus heroin, plus cocaine and still with the toxic relationships....). By the time he and Noel discovered coke and thought they were john Lennon (as if that was something to aspire to) it was all over. Anyhow, I digress... Fair play to Liam, he's done well with this Pretty Green label. It's generally not my thing - too modern for my style - but he does that Sixties influence well and it seems to have proven a successful business rather than a vanity project...

I really like this one I found on Y! Jp although perhaps a bit too vintage looking for the rest of my wardrobe, plus the seller won’t deal with proxies... It made me think that there aren’t many raglan sleeve leather jackets around.
