New this Y2 type 2 looks a bit too clean, shiny. But I think the indigo blue will look great when faded.

I think it looks nice when faded. I originally planned to try this one on at the local store (Stuff in Dusseldorf) as Thomas has one in my size but I decided against it as I simply prefer type III which I receive from Aero in December (rust goat suede) which I ordered at least 7 months ago and I simply have enough jackets at this point...

Hehe...Not a single jacket left on your wish list?

What's your score for this year? Indigo Field Leathers, Black LW, rust goat Aero upcoming.

@Marc mndt Good question...let me think....FCL Leon, FW Brakeman Coat (black and brown), Field Leathers, LW Leathertogs, IH black HH Trucker, two more Thedis to come in November and one Aero Trucker to come.....I sold at least 4 or 5 leather jackets this year. Then I'm definitely done as my closet is full! To be honest with you there are no further wishes and I want to focus on wearing the jackets I have more often and probably sorting out a couple of jackets (probably only the LW Bison Bedford but I'm still thinking).

Which Thedi designs did you order?

Edit: btw, that's a very impressive streak!

Speaking of Rebel, I’ve been following them for a while. Just found this thread, interesting to see I’m not alone in my appreciation for the styles they’re offering.

This belted, blanket-lined outdoorsman coat caught my eye, but the alignment of the elbow leather patches concerned me. Is this intentional, or does it appear “off” to you? What do y’all think of the style, is it a knock off of one you’re familiar with? I like the Thedi leather & fabric designs but don’t want to put the $$$ down....yet. This could be like an appetizer. It’s $330 shipped from Hong Kong btw

Most of their designs are lifted from other makers, although they do seem to change it up a little so it's not a one to one knockoff. From what I've seen they mostly change the back designs. This one is very similar to a Belstaff Panther, although collar is different and pocket configuration is a little different but very similar.

I have noticed it’s odd they carry plenty of other Asian makers, but then also make their own designs...sometimes based on jackets they are already carrying by another maker? It’s odd but they have had some really cool looking stuff. Haven’t tried them yet but have communicated back and forth a few times and they are very friendly and fairly decent at English, seems it would be a pleasant experience.

@dannyk yeah I'm not sure what their deal is but they seem to carry/sell both used and new jackets from other known makers but then also do their own "versions" of other makers designs with slight changes. Looks like they did a pretty much one to one knockoff the FW San Mateo.

But then again FW copied (or reproduced if you like that term better) an old Peter's design.

Nothing is original anymore, with the exception of Thedi maybe. They are on top of their game design wise. But everything done nowadays is at the very least based on older designs that have been around for a long time.

Not my cup of tea but I'm glad they exist to be honest. If you really like the design of the FW Mulhollad for instance and don't want to drop 2 grand, this is a great option.

Yeah I don’t mind that they do it. Not at all actually. Like you said almost every design is either a reproduction or inspired by. I just find it odd how they can carry a brand and then copy it, or change it just a bit without that maker getting angry. Everyone is copying everyone, but they aren’t usually being sold side by side ha. That’s all. They carry really cool stuff though. Really like it.

Very East-West, circa 1973, though it also wouldn't have looked out of place at a doors gig circa 1968.

This is essential now!

A bit too modern for my tastes style-wise, but I actually rather like that hide. As a rule I don't much care for teacore type effects, but this puts more more in the notion of an "antiqued brown".

Very much in the style of the classic British belted wax cotton motorcycle jackets from the early 30s onwards. I like the look of the leather accents on this, and they serve a very practical purpose, being at points that are typically high-wear on these jackets.
