Had to stand outside in some rain last night waiting for a train. The Akubra Sydney handled it well.

You might have heard that it snowed on the east coast today. Here in Philly we're around 2' of the white stuff by now--not a lot for some of you, but certainly more than enough to bring things to a standstill in the mid-Atlantic. I took a walk in my Akubra Territory. That wide brim does a nice job keeping the snow off--except when the wind's in your face.

I was a little worried there might have been some salt and stuff in the snow that might have stained it but I let it dry, brushed it off and it was ready to go again.

We finally got a little rain in this part of southern California last night, a light rain that stuck around for several hours. This is my Taupe Fawn Campdraft after my wife and I returned home from taking Lord Butch (our not-so-Miniature Schnauzer) out for his 1/2-mile evening constitutional.

It's resting atop the Carhartt shirt jacket I wore, which in person is a pretty fair match to the hat color-wise.
