Is there a website for Phoenix Hats?
Sorry Scooterz, but no website or even a social media page. I still work a full time job plus a few other side businesses and don't have time to handle the hat orders that advertising might (wishful thinking) generate. I plan to roll out the PHC website upon my semi-retirement in March of 2020 when I have more time to devote on hat making and we'll see what happens then. In the meantime, I'm satisfied making a few good hats for a few excellent people.
Please feel free to email me at: phoenixhats@outlook.com and we can chat.

True to his word, my hat tool customer in Columbia sent me these straw hat body samples. On the left is the Brisa grade, on the right is the Fino grade, and in the middle is what I consider to be a masterpiece of the weaver's art, the Super Fino. It's great to finally have a reliable source for straw bodies and all of these grades will eventually have their place in my lineup. Unfortunately, I have no time to play with these right now, but the day will come.

New from Rick, a chocolate and burgundy fedora with a 5 inch finished teardrop crown and 2 5/8 bound brim.

As noted recently in other threads, matching ribbon and felt colors can be maddening. Rick and I and the wife battled a long time on the "shade" of burgundy and Rick took care of me every step of the way. The ribbon color tends to stand out more in pictures, but on the head, the deep burgundy blends nicely with the brown. We made the right choice. I need to put on some steam on it to tweak the brim and "make it mine", but the size, shape, and color are just right. It is a keeper, Rick, and I'm sure my kids and grand kids will thank you when I pass it down to them...hopefully that will be many years of head time down the road :)

Some things are just too cool not to have. I took a leap of faith and bought this National Hatters Supply Company (Chicago/New York) hat measuring device, more as a conversation piece for the hat shop than anything else. I'm happy to say, however, that it's spot on accurate. Bonus!

What is the book laying beside the hat there?

It looks great, Randy. Now you’re making me think I need to order a dark brown too. An heirloom hat for sure.

A very beautiful hat, Randy, and great work from Rick. Wonderful colours and I like the shallow brim flange. Nice!
