Thanks Photomuse of the Iams info!
Photomuse,
Thanks so much for posting that Iams info... it just about broke my heart though!
We got a purebread German Shepherd in September, from a rescue shelter. I've been feeding him Iams because that's what the shelter was giving him and I figured that feeding him the 'good stuff' meant no fillers and better for him (After 10.5 years, our Great Dane died January before last and he ate nothing but Eukenuba -the same company as Iams). -The truth is too, less fillers mean less -how should I put this--- less 'land mines' in the back yard! SO I thought this company was good for the dog and us all the way around,
until I saw that video.
I know that animal testing is generally something that has to be done, no matter how much we don't like the thought of it. However, there's no reason for it to be carried out cruely. That's just absolutely unforgivable and most definitely avoidable!!
Thank you so much for posting this. I think I'm going to have to try putting my big mouth to some good use. Maybe if a few others did the same, things like this wouldn't be so prevalent
