I have too many white hats. I already have another playboy this color so this one is on the selling block. It is in virtually unworn condition, still has the $10.95 sticker on the sweatband. It's a size 7 1/8th that's been stretched and will fit a 7 1/4 if you are not a large 7 1/4. Brim is 2 3/8ths and crown is 5 3/4ths. Super light weight, no liner with stetson logo stamp on inside crown. Price is $75.00.

I'd bet that your average 7 1/4 would satisfactorily stretch up to a 7 3/8, ideaguy. Some won't, of course. Hat sizes are notoriously inconsistent, especially when you're dealing with vintage lids, which may have shrunk over the years or been stretched by previous owners. And maybe they weren't quite "true" to size to start with.
I mention this because 7 1/4ths come up more often that 7 3/8ths do. Indeed, at this very moment razzman has an old 7 1/4 Lee up for sale here. Looks like a reasonable deal to me.
This forum has proven to be the most reliable online source of vintage hats for me. Unlike many (most?) Internet sellers, the members here, almost to a person, know what it is they are selling. While that means you're not likely to get the sort of absolute steals that can still occasionally be had at the expense of an uninformed eBay seller, you're also very unlikely to be disappointed by what the postman brings. Can't say that about eBay, you know.
