Those are good shots for me. The newer phones come equipped with some pretty decent camera lenses, etc.

The hat looks elegant. Fantastic Ecuadorian weave.

How abt some more pics of the crown? Pinches and creases.

I can do that later for sure. One word of warning though - I bought this hat for travelling and, as such, it's already been rolled and placed in a tube for my journey to Thailand. As I'm no expert in doing this, nor restoring the hat back to its proper shaft after removal from the tube, I'm sure the hat isn't quite as shapely as it was the day I bought it.

I only placed the hat in the tube just before I travelled and removed it from the tube and ironed the brim gently using a cloth between the iron and the hat as soon as I unpacked my case.

I will post pictures later tho.

The guys at the Homero Ortega Panama Hat Co, in Cuenca, Ecuador, told me the only toquilla straw hat they would roll is an inexpensive hat that already has the old traditional blocked seam that runs down the middle of the hat. I went back to the inlaws, in Guayaquil, and I immediately took my hat out of the little balsa wood box, but a new crease had already set in. Even after steaming and reshaping my hat you can still see that crease running right through the middle of my brim. Now, my hat only cost about USD $22 at a huge vendors marletplace so it's not that big of a deal. But I wish I had known that piece of advice earlier.

This picture isn't shown in enough detail to see the crease I spoke about, and please ignore the silly colors wrapped around the brim. It was a July 4th party at the office.
