Seriously, if I ruled the world, flip-flops would be illegal.:rage:

Well, when you consider that cheap rubber flip-flops are the most used footwear on Earth (and, for the world's poorest, their one and only pair of footwear), you'd probably be strung up for making that "law."

Another reminder that dual-purpose pajamas aren't that avant garde:

Sears, Roebuck catalog, 1952 (sorry for the small picture). Top photos in ad are titled: NEW "SPORTY SHORTY"...it's both Pajama and Sport Suit. PILGRIM SLACK PAJAMAS...for comfortable lounging, too.

At least the slacks don't look like pajamas, and could feasibly be worn outside (but who actually did that?).

This reminds me that not so long ago, there was that fad of celebrites going around in pajamas. Fancier pajamas, but still just pajamas. I would say I can't believe I'd forgotten, but I think that was active suppression.
