Not my style, but, who cares...[huh]

She looks happy .....

ignorance is bliss came to mind. :p

Last year, I saw a girl in her mid 20's who lives in my neighborhood, wearing her pajamas, standing alone in the yard of the neighbor across the street from her... brushing her teeth, dodging the water sprinkler. I kid you not.

From the "China Daily"

lol Ah, the dear China Daily.... an interesting newspaper to say the least. Even more fascinating was reading between the lines for the editorial angle. ;)

In that part of the world, it makes a little more sense to me, given that much of what we in the West regard as 'sleepwear' isn't a million miles away from traditional daywear over there.

Might have something to do with the fact that FL tends to attract people that hate the way modern society thinks....

True.... Me, I like The Chap's 'modernity in moderation' creedo. Just sometimes I think we as a collective on here can occasionally be rather too hostile towards anything much post 1963, to the point where I'm reminded of the old farts on a guitar forum I also frequent. You know, the guys who will spend more time bemoaning that there's been "no goo music since 1973" than ever it would take them to fid some great new stuff. Same guys who have very set notions of what a Stratocaster should be, usually based on "how Leo did it" in 1954 / 62 / whatever: you know they'd fight tooth and nail for the cause of a rubber neck and carboard body on a guitar if that's how it was done back in the day. I see elements of this in all hobbyist communities, really.

I get your point. Still looks like PJs, not traditional, however, I do not claim to be an expert.[huh]

Could be positive. you know, lull the pajamapeople into a false sense of security, before they know it, they're making an effort to dress nice.... :p

I think you're on to something: take what people will actually wear and make it more presentable. Today, the pajama jeans. Tomorrow, the pajama suit.

Flip-Flops never bothered me. But then again, I grew up near the Jersey Shore where they are required and appropriate footwear.

I think I found this flip-flopped 50s housewife on LIFE. Where are her pearls and heels?

Not gonna lie, I luv my flip flops. Flip flops or heels. I only wear flats when I MUST, and only because being "The Godzilla of women" as one male acquaintance put it makes heels a bit.....overbearing.....at times. We have 3 feet of snow here, and I guarantee the first day I go back to school, snow and all, I'll be wearing the flip flops.

I think the jeans actually look good. Think about it, the chances of getting todays society away from their jeans and slounge wear is slim to none. So, a pair of nice looking pants, no rips, holes, disgustingly low cuts, that are comfortable enough to get people to wear them....it's only going to improve the way people look.

but then again, I'm just a rough teenager who does wear sweatpants out when she's having a terrible day. lol

That's kind of my take on jeans. I think of them a lot like chinos. They used to be purely practical clothing, in that case for military uniforms, and then a generational shift let them become accepted in most day to day life and as accepted businesswear. A nice, well fit pair of jeans is no problem for me, and is my day to day pant.

This is leading to a street-ready version of the Snuggie. lol

As a friend of ours said awhile back - "The Snuggie! A stupid thing to buy being bought by people too stupid to put their bathrobe on backwards if they're chilly watching TV and too lazy to get a blanket."
