Apparently Al Capone's Palm Island abode has sold, after being on the market for almost a year (just like Billy Joel's and Rosie O'Donnell's places, both of which recently sold as well) for $7.43 million according to realtrix team The Jills.

Go to the Green Mill and you can sit in the same booth that Capone sat in, back in the day. The joint was owned by "Machine Gun" Jack McGurn.

The difference between Al's sort of businessman and "real businessmen" is that they offed the competition where "real businessmen" dream about a world where they can give their competition cement shoes. At least the thugs of the 20s and 30s had class about it and looked good while doing their thuggish activities.

Before we over glamorize them, lets not forget that one of their big money makers was the Protection Racket. I knew an older gentleman in the 60s who lived under Capone, it was pay up or something bad might happen to his barbour shop!
