One would have to wonder, "twenty-five what?" on a Borsalino hat made for the European market...

I found this Boater today at a local antique shop. Makes me wish my head size was a bit smaller. Wouldn't fit me but for 15 bucks I almost bought it anyway... Shame it had a crack in it too

Nice older Marathon, maybe 50s? Too bad about the crack, not much you can do about it I'm afraid. Keep checking the shop, you never know. BTW, what size was it?

Yeah the crack was a real bummer... It didn't have a size listed in the hat or on a tag but my guess would be a 7 1/4 as it almost started to go on my head but not quite.

For $15 maybe I might want it. The crack can be hidden somewhat. You got me thinking. The sweat looked like it had some issues too.

Yeah the sweat felt a little dry in places and maybe a little loose in spots as well but overall not too bad. The ribbon had a slight discoloration on one area of it as well.

Looks to be late 1950s at first glance. Some would say "stingy". I like it, not afraid of a 2" brim.
