That looks to be quite rare, Bob. Maybe worth a pretty penny. Nice hat. I trust you bought it?
Nope ... I let it go on by.

Wow, I love that hat Jack.A great one Michael! Never heard of the name Humming Bird in hats. I suspect it might be older but it reminds me of my Carlsbad which dates 1940 - 1943. I will be interested in hearing your impressions on the felt. My Carlsbad is almost too soft for it's size.
Thought I had an open crown pic but can't seem to find it.

Me either but I don't really need a dreadnought anyway.Man those things can ring. Another one I'll never have.

I just realized this is the first piece of jewelry I ever bought for myself, including watches, other than the three Penal Servitude rings my wives expected me to buy and wear [emoji6]I guess this doesn't really qualify as a hat, but MacLachlans are my favorites, and it seemed appropriate to buy it... Every other piece I've had was a gift.

I wonder if that curl is original to that hat. Not something I associate with Open Road hats.Just bought this black OR from ScottF. He says it is a loose 7 1/8, and I am pretty sure Ignacio gan get rid of that curl.

Thanks, Alan! There's experience for you. [emoji2]Flaky reed adjustment to a Borsalino Marque Grand Luxe. I got tired of picking the flecks out of my hair.
