Just bought two more Optimos, but at a discount from Neal Blangiardo. I had been wanting an Optimo Homburg for a year, but damn, they are so expensive I abstained. Now Neal made it possible.

I just found this bright green Huckels hat in an antique shop. Very soft fur. I think by the label it dates between 45 and 75, if anyone has anymore information on it I would appreciate that. Its in like new condition. Does anyone know if its worth the $58 asking price. Its too big for me but I thought maybe someone here might want it?

Huckel velour is nice, and the pins and gamsbart add to the value. Sometimes the paraphernalia is worth more than the hat itself. If someone is looking for a trachtenhut, I'd offer $40 and see if the counter offer is acceptable to the buyer.

I think it's worth $58, but I already have a short hair hare trachtenhut by A Breiter and I'm not looking for another. I passed on a $49 hat covered in genuine alpine goodie decorations (worth hundreds at retail) but passed just because I'm not interested in going all out on the Oktoberfest theme, although we enjoy going to celebrate once a year or so locally.

Listing title:
Royal Stetson/Vintage/cashmere/hat

Question:
Hi. How do you know it's cashmere?

Seller response:
Hi,
I’m just going on what it feels like (touch) and that it’s a real vintage royal Stetson and hats of this caliber back then were made of it. Hope this helps, cheers Julia
