Right now I only have the Boegel's two-tone Milan listed. (I also have a Stetson boater listed in the Classifieds as well.) I'm still in the process of giving each a light steam and brush, taking measurements, photographing, etc. I'm trying to photograph each outside in natural light so I'm a bit limited by schedule availability and weather.

I have one of the Adam Executives all lined up ready to go, I just need to create the post. It'll probably be up this evening or tomorrow. After that my plan is to get some more straws and the stingy brim Resistols listed.

For the time being I'm going to keep eBay out out of the loop. I'd prefer the hats stay here within the Lounge. If there's no market here then I'll throw them up on eBay.

I’ve been watching for the Adam Executive 7 1/2 long oval to get posted. I want it, but you should also reach out to Mark @M Hatman too as it’s something he might want to add to his collection and he’s a 7 1/2 long oval.

It's sort of funny you mentioned @M Hatman because I was digging through some old conversations about his trade pile. He had one I had expressed interest in quite a while ago but at the time didn't have anything in return. I see he hasn't been active, though, in a couple months. I think HJ mentioned something the other day about Mark stepping away again.

I’m not sure why Mark hasn’t been active lately. I won’t presume to know his motivation. Mark and I have made several swaps, trades, and sales and he has always been a gentleman and pleasure to work with. Try sending him a PM?

Beautiful hats, but I'm not sure i can afford any of them anyway. Maybe during the "looking for trades" period before a price is listed for sale...

That Cavanagh looks especially interesting to me... the Mallory, too, but that's in the size range of @TheOldFashioned

If I were to try to keep any of the felts the Cavanagh and the Mallory are the two candidates. The Mallory is in the roughest shape of all the hats, and I'm not sure I'd be comfortable selling it. I mean, I'd obviously disclose the flaws, but the return value would greatly be diminished so I'm thinking I might as well just keep it. It's also the closest in size for me and the fit I see pretty good as is.

The Cavanagh is a beautiful hat, and based on digging through the dating threads I'm thinking it's probably the oldest of the lot. It should be late 40s or very early 50s. It has a 40s style factory tag but the crest has the "Park Avenue at 47th Street" tag line, so there's a bit of overlapping information. The $20 sticker is still under the sweatband as well. In my opinion it has the best felt of all the hats based on the limited amount of handling I have done with all of them. For these reasons I'm very tempted to hold onto it, at least for a while longer.

While in Mt Angel for the Oktoberfest, we walked through a huge barn with 65 cubicles full of antiques. I found a great silk Hawaiian shirt, but I was too big for it...

But I did find a 50s?, fairly lightweight, sans liner Mallory Ten with heathered felt, and a triple-stitched overwelt. Nice little hat. It has a double-wrapped cord for a hatband, which I would change up.... but we'll see.

That's an understatement, Doug; I'd say that's quite a bit more than a nice little hat. Very cool find. Always nice to see a good heather felt. We should revive the heather and yon thread a bit.

Bought this hat on the internet for 5 euro's (shipping was more: 6,95). I don't know anything about the hat. Only that the crown hight is 12cm en the brim width is 7cm. Maybe it's wool, i don't know, but who cares for 5 euro's. According to the photo's i personally think it's a furfelt hat. But i liked the style and the colour of it and that's why i bought it. Which of the coulours is right (the first 3 pictures or the last one) we will see. Unfortunally the hat has no lining.

I've been trying to thin out the amount of hats I have.Have stayed away from hunting for hats. This last month I gave away 3 hats, helping build up some good karma for me.Hoped to send some of that good karma to members that needed it...But I must have kept some for myself.Todays antique shop find.I think it's a old one.
