Buzz B-10 Superior Togs

I received my Buzz Superior Togs from HPA.

It arrived well boxed in a plastic hanger bag with HPA's logo.

I ordered a size up from my suit size of 38. The sleeves are long on me as are most jackets. The length and chest are good with enough room to wear a sweater or over a flight suit and shirt - which takes up a lot of the extra sleeve length as well.

Just out of the box there were some pressed down areas in the collar and impressions on one sleeve. When I expressed my concerns in an email to HPA, Charles called me right away. He instructed me on how to lift the impressions with water (I used distilled water) and even offered to do the work himself if I wanted to send the jacket to HPA. I did it myself with perfect results. Great customer service!

A few pics compared to an original LSL B-10. I assume telling which is which will be ovious:

Note that the original's Zip is set away from the seam at the bottom which makes for easier zipping.

Note that the Buzz has a pen opening on the pocket and the LSL has a separate pen "pocket" - see the stitching.

It would be best to compare the Buzz against an original Superior Togs and not an LSL, but it does give a general idea.

I do love those red knits. In recent years I've been much more of a B15 man, but I'd be very tempted still by one of these at the right price.

Nice jacket... Well done. Although I personally don't 'get' the red knits ;)
Your original looks just like my ELC B-10.

I had not thought of buying a repro B-10 until I saw an example of the Buzz Superior Togs on an online auction. The knit color does not jump out as much as the flash photography might suggest. I've liked the red knits on some FL member's A-2s and when I bought an original with the red/rust/berry knit I was hooked.

If I were to purchase a repro B-10 based on accuracy, then the more expensive ELC is the way to go - IMHO. But the Buzz is really really nice!
