I was fortunate enough to pick this jaunty little number up from one of our friends on COW today

I am thinking of fedora-ising it.

I had a previous midnight black Stetson (Mallory) Homburg that I attempted this with and was reasonably satisfied with the results. (HERE) However, I just find that the black is too formal for me & the proportions are just too massive (7" Crown, 3" brim). I am hoping this gray, with its more modest measurements (5" Crown, 2 5/8" brim) might work a little better as a more casual look, I am not even sure that this is technically a Homburg. It looks rather formless now, but I hope it'll be workable.

Great looking hat you have there. Why not just pt the center dent in and wear it as a homberg.
