If I may, I'll just step in to remark that I think a lady in spex can look very appealing indeed. As it happens, my four older children have never needed glasses, but my youngest does, and she loves vintage frames and finally got two pairs this year. Don't know if anyone has mentioned this as a possible source (I haven't had time to read through the whole thread), but we go to a second-generation ophthalmologist whose office has been around for decades, and when my daughter mentioned she'd like a more vintage look, they hauled out--literally--boxes of frames that they had had for anwhere from twenty to forty years. She looks gorgeous in 'em, they cost less than new frames, and needless to say the quality would be hard to find in a reproduction.

I'll excuse myself now, thanks for indulging my rambling.

Haha! His name is Nuff Nuff, he's a special guinea pig with one eye. He likes to cuddle and is often mistaken for a frog.
