Just wish Mike would get some FEPSA rabbit. I'm getting his Winchester Beaver but a few makers aren't thrilled with Winchester rabbit.

Okay, here's what Mike's making up for me. Alan Ladd's "China" hat...
The dimensions will be a straight sided 5 3/4 open crown. It will be creased with a C-Crown, 4 3/4 tall at the pinch with a rake sloping to 4 1/4 at the back. The snap brim will be 2 3/4 with a nice fedora up curl. The color will be dark brown with an even darker contrasting 1 1/2 ribbon and a 5 1/2 inches double tailed bow....Mike's a heck of a nice guy. I enjoyed my conversation with him. I could sit and talk hats with him all day.

A little Johnny Cash...."Frankie and Johnny"

TJ, I cracked up. As I was reading this I had "Saskatchewan" starring Ladd and Shelley Winters on. Ladd as a RCMP?

Darnit. If I ordered something from him now, it wouldn't come until April. That's already too hot for felt most of the time here. I wouldn't be able to wear it as a felt is supposed to be worn until next December!

I need to order something in August. Yeah, that's the ticket.

I may change my mind on color and style. Not sure yet. The dimensions will be the same though. I still have plenty of time to make any changes....here's a few other colors I'm thinking of, but not Silverbelly. I don't want anymore of that color. Looking at a Pecan and Grey....could use some opinions. Any thoughts?

I personally like the far left color most with your complexion and beard color... but gray is always well rounded

I have a Pecan from Mike and love the colour, very versatile. It was a choice between that and a Whiskey but the Whiskey has a decided yellow undertone that did not work with my blonde/white complexion. I also have a Granite that while 'grey" in colour has real strong brown undertones and makes a great neutral coloured hat.
In your pics below I like the Pecan the best on you.

Might be worth checking to see if he makes a light weight felt for Summer wear.
