I dont think it is a Dobbs hat either but I do LOVE that band . To me , the hat looks like it's from the 1960's so enjoy your find.

Cool, I was born in 1960.

I don't really care that it isn't a Dobb's hat, that's not even why I bought it or why I posted the picture really....I just happened to be 1 of the 7 pix that were there & I posted all 7. She (the seller) said it was still in the box with tags & tissue paper, I noticed right away that it was an imported Milan.

What caught my eye was the color, the tight weave & of course the the ribbon, that & the fact that I needed a summer hat.

Yeah- I really love that ribbon. It's so much more distinctive than either a standard grossgrain or one of those loud pleated ones you wrap around.
