Naturally there's been lots of discussion on the new (2021-present) and old (pre-2021, but also seems to have shifted over the years prior) fits for the RMC J-24 D-pocket, and the J-24 vs. the J-22. From what I gather the J-22 (which was offered in 2017 or beginning then? And at some point discontinued) has a more fuller cut and fit than the old-fit J-24 which was infamously slim.
But I haven't been able to discern specifically how the new/post-2021 J-24's fit in comparison to the J-22. Is it the same, roughly? Even more of a full cut? Anyone have any insight having compared both in person?
I'm on a long-term hunt for a J-22 in a size 44 but am wondering if I'm just as well off (fit-wise) finding a new-fit J-24 in the meantime to tide me over.
Any other insights are welcome (i.e. wool vs. nylon, or any other lesser-known differences like the shoulder slope which I've read is different) but those have been pretty well covered in previous threads before.
