Great fit!

Do the pics show the true color? It looks much ruddier than my russet goat half belt.

Yeah, they're pretty close I'd say. Russet hides always seem to saturate more in the iPhone pics. I desaturated them some to more resemble the jacket. I'd say they're accurate.

Lovely color. There seem to be great differences between batches. Mine looks more like ordinary mid brown.

I got lucky because I'm a fan of the more red hides. I know some don't like them, and they might not be as historically accurate (debated before) but that's OK. I reckon there were all sorts of variations during WWII. It's not like I put a collar stand on it or anything lol

Previously not an Russet or goat fan. But looking at all the GW goat jackets and trying a GW russet HH A-2, I began to appreciate them. I don't look good in "reds" according to the boss. She changed her mind when I got this one, so I guess it's OK.
Here's a pic of my other Aero Bronco in a seal cape hide. It's ~5 years old now.

Butte, is it just my imagination, or is the body length of the russet Bronco about 1 1/2 inches longer than your seal Bronco? Not to imply that there is anything wrong with the fit of the seal, but maybe the russet appears that it might be a better fit considering you height.

Nice pics, nice jackets... You keep losing weight though you're gonna disappear! LOL! Worst thing about you and others on this site... I see what you've done/got and my mind says... "hmmm wonder how I'd look in dat!" You're the WORST thing to ever happen to my budget!. But the ole lady thinks it's nice I'm actually spending money on myself fer a change...

Great looking hides and you wear em well.

Hey Ansel Adams - it's an iPhone, not a Canon EOS 1D lol

And I ain't no Bradley Cooper!

Has anyone downloaded the 99 cents camera+ app on an IPhone4? I understand that the camera+ app opens up all kinds of new horizons but not sure whether it will work as well as a Canon EOS. A Canon EOS would be wasted on me anyhow since I am pretty much a point and shoot (mostly miss) kind of a guy. Butte, if you send me your Bronco, I can arrange to have it viewed under an electron microscope for even better detail.

@ Fanch:This jacket is about 3/4" shorter - I'm standing on a slope and have my shoulders pulled up, but yes there's a bit of a difference. Also, as Jan pointed out - I had lost weight and my pants/shirt were way to big. I be those pants are hanging 2" too low in that pic lolAs for the app - I use it. It's good, but the iPhone 4 (not s) is a so-so camera. Camera+ helps a bit. My wife has a good Canon D1, but she won't let me use it lol

@Worf:Thanks man. Still waiting for your reply on the jacket. :)

@ the rest:Thanks all. I appreciate the feedback. I figured I was gonna get hammered on this so I'm pleasantly surprised!

OK Butte, here comes a negative response (hammer): In the picture with the seal Bronco, you show signs a seriously sunburned face, which is very bad for a Nordic guy like you with Type 1 skin that burns in the hot sun but never tans. My advice: Either use more sun block OR have your wife air brush the redness away. All kidding aside, both Broncos are great jackets and offer sufficient contrast aqnd lack of duplication with difference in skins and colors.

Your jacket is agreat fit! Glad to hear you are coming over to the "red"side. I agree with you on seal horse, love the look, but something about a quality russet goat hide screams WWII fighter pilot. Yours has a nice grain and the collar looks awesome...

@fanch: nope - iPhone again. I wasn't burned. I HAVE been stupid when I was younger, but trst me, it's baby #60 SPF now.

@phantom: thanks man. I'm a stubborn sod. It takes me longer than most humans to learn to try new things. I did, I like :)

@IXL: thanks. I did good this year. Bought two, sold five. I'm keeping both Broncos. The seal Bronco has an issue though - CARR snaps. I don't think they ever used those, but 99.8% would never know it. Maybe Andrew knows if it's legit. I'm going to sell my beloved Good Wear A-1. I have too small of a waist, and I think Worf will look great in it :)I appreciate the kind words folks. I figured the perfectionists would beat me. I don't have a bruise :)
