Some great clothes and movies just in the first 8!
1. North by Northwest (1959):eusa_clap

2. Breathless (1959):eusa_clap

3. Ocean's 11 (1960)

4. Purple Noon (1960)

5. 8 1/2 (1963):eusa_clap

6. A Hard Day's Night (1964)

7. How to Steal A Million (1966)

8. Blowup (1966)
Still, as much as I like all of those it's too bad they didn't include any suits from 30s or 40s films.

i notice there's no 30s or 40s suits in the top ten. i think it speaks volumes about the blandness of the voter's taste. not that the Cary Grant suit is bad. it's just a bit boring.

Speaking of voters taste. Call me a skeptic but I wonder who these voters really are? Most of my peers in the middle to late 30's barely know who Cary Grant is and have not seen North By Northwest, let alone Breathless or Purple Noon!
The article reads like "creative license" to me. :whistling

He really was a tiny man with a huge head.

That's a horrifying picture of Bogart! He looks like the before side of an alien autopsy ad.

(good for Halloween though)

To my mind, Cary Grant looked great in every suit he wore from 1936 onward. Here is the His Girl Friday suit, whose jacket was longer than the norm, and whose buttons were more widely spaced. It made Grant look as if he had a strapping torso. (Which perhaps he did!)
