My Summer Hat Sale

Hello everyone,

Been a bit busy with buying hats this summer and Im going to thin the herd a little. I will be posting about 3 hat auctions this week and just wanted to give everyone a heads up. I will be posting the auction links when I have created the auctions. My birthday is coming up and I really want to buy a custom hat from ART, so I'm letting go of a couple really neat hats. I'm going to be letting go of:


2) Late 30's/Early 40's ADAM LongRoyal SZ 7 1/8 (This is a rare one. I think on the lounge there has only been 1 or 2 other Long Hats by ADAM.)

3) Early-Mid 1950's Mallory 20 SZ 7 (Beautiful condition. CAV EDGE)

4)Late 30's/ Early 40's LaSalle Hat Co (CHAMP) - The Lightweight SZ 7 (Very early example of a Featherweight "Lightweight" Champ with early Boxer Champ logo. Felt is beautifully soft. Pug is original, may want to have replaced, maybe not.)

Thanks, PADDY! I just had a thought, lets do it this way. I want to give lounge members first pick on the hats before I let them go off to ebay. Justin has expressed interest in the Strat, and I don't have pictures of the LongRoyal yet, but if anybody wants to see pictures or is interested in the Mallory or Champ, PM me and I will send you pictures and we can talk price. I would honestly must rather these hats go to lounge members than anyone else.

The Adam is a rarity. probably early 40's. The Long's made Adams are arguably the highest quality Adams.

I'm very interested in the ADAM LongRoyal, as I'm trying desperately to upgrade from a Target 100% cotton. Yes, that's Target as in with the little white dog. I looked up photos on other websites, to get a general idea, and it seems to be a beautiful looking hat. I've sized my head with a tape measure and I'm exactly a 7 1/8.

Here are some pictures of the Late 30's/Early 40's ADAM LongRoyal. Its pitch black with a beautiful flat topped, straight sided crown. It has the classic 30's higher flange to the brim in the back and the flatter front. The felt is in really nice shape, but probably could use a good cleaning. Black hats always need a good cleaning after sitting around for a while. SteveAS has first pick on the ADAM, but if he passes it up, I will let everyone know that its still for sale. It has a 2 1/2 inch raw edge brim and a 5 5/8 inch open crown. Heres the pics:

Billy, this Long Royal is the most incredible ADAM that I have ever handled. The felt quality, finish, and feel is just spectacular.

Its hard to tell exactly, but my closest measurement is about 22 1/4.

I can speak from dealing with Iyor on StyleForum that he is the upmost gentleman. He pays lightning fast and will pay what is respectable for a very nice hat. Iyor has already voiced to me he is looking for a hat just like the black fedora pictured. If it is not already taken I would say Iyor is the perfect candidate. Good luck to the both of you.
