I took delivery of this jacket the first week of November, but it's been too cold to wear it since then, so it has sat in my closet. We've had some warm days recently (and I'll be heading to southeastern Virginia for a week after Christmas), so I figured I'd try and break it in a little. It's Seal HH with dull OD thread. I'm pretty sure the zipper is a #7 Waldes, although I can't remember exactly. The only real modification I made was to request no flare at the bottom of the jacket. Vicky told me that most people request the Ventura w/o the flare. The lining is the standard wool plaid that caught my attention when I first saw the Ventura. Gave some thought to a few mods (different lining, lined cuffs, etc.), but left well enough alone. Some might prefer more length, but it falls exactly where I want it to fall. It was 3:30 pm when my daughter took the pics, but it is getting dark, so the pics aren't the best. It is a helluva good looking jacket and the pics don't do it justice. It's an attention grabber and needs a bit of wear to tone it down a bit.
