Mini review:

I got this jacket at the same time as the Schott 602, both were cheap experiments to see if i liked longer leather coats. (I have also wanted a Golden Bear jacket for a while, I love the slogan and logo!)
Although this Golden Bear is much nicer than the Schott 602 execution wise, it is what most of us would call a fashion jacket. The stitching is neat, but everything feels fragile. The leather is super thin and soft, almost too thin and too soft. The lamb fleece is super smooth and tight but not very thick at all.
You can definitely see that this is a jacket made for people who think Nappa calf leather is the finest jacket leather available, people who want "buttery soft" leather... Out of the box the leather was completely naked and not waterproof whatsoever, it almost felt like suede. I gave it a couple coats of Pecards which gave it a much nicer look/hand/sheen and made it somewhat waterproof. It also helped the leather retain it's shape and creases more, and show more signs of wear. Still, this is the least interesting hide of all my jackets.

Overall, this feels like a lightweight modern recreation of a heavy duty old school jacket.
Funnily enough it was described as super thick and super heavy by the seller! I think TFL broke us all...
I don't love it, i don't hate it either, but i don't think it deserve it's own review thread.

Shockingly, this was a $959 jacket when new! I personally don't think it is remotely worth it.

Here is the inside:

Nice review of that Golden Bear longer jacket Carlos. Sadly the "nappa hide" is about all a person can get going to evena really good mall store, if they even had anything made of "leather" at all. I've certainly witnessed more than my share of "lambskin" imitations of Cafe Racers and Perfectos, posing out there with price tags close to the $1k mark. It's rather discouraging to say the least.

I'm getting a post ready to sell a Golden Bear, too small for me, but made in the 60's or late 50's. It's nice, thick brown cowhide, and ready for battle, for a person who could fit it.

Langlitz Cascade must really run the gammet on weight, as 3.9 lbs seems very light for these. I have one for sale now (around a men's size 46) that is 9.0 lbs. Very thick & heavy, squeaks a lot while wearing it too. Nice jackets thereCarlos!

Left Field sure is a heavy jacket! I gotta say I really like the way that Langlitz fits you. It's different than the others and while I don't normally like the cut of that jacket, it works well on you.
