And I'm in love with it...

Came open crown, mint condition. Size 7 - it's a bit snug, but it still fits fine. I'm hoping it will stretch a little.

Looks like a two inch ribbon - wider than I'm used to, but I like it.

The grey color is awesome, and the felt is awesome. Crisp, thin, just the right amount of stiffness. I got a good finger print on the side dents ;)

Cavanagh edge...very cool.

Enough of that. Pictures! And can anyone help me date this? Thanks!

I really like the bow on this one. Very unique. And the wind trolley is a nice touch.

That looks like a wonderful hat with classic style. I love the black and white photo - my first image was Jack Nicholson in Chinatown - maybe the sunglasses? And the silhouette, very nice!

Yes, it's quite the score. Anything hiding under the sweatband that might provide a clue as to its age? The liner says it's a Knox Twenty, which is some help, I suppose. It would take a more knowledgeable person to actually DO something with that clue besides simply identifying it as such.
Not that it matters now, but do you mind disclosing how it came your way?

No one will hazard a guess as to age, as he asks?

I'd say 1940s. I'd base that on the piping in the lining, the
lack of a plastic top to the lining, and the classic styling.

I have a couple of Knox Twenties, one of which I'd guess
is from the 40s and one from the 50s. I suppose I should
post them some time! Point is, they are differently styled
and it appears the Knox 20 was made for a while.

But just a guess and a guess as to age is worth what you paid for it.

An outstanding hat. Don't expect to find too many
this nice, even in your smaller size!

Thanks alot you guys.

I picked up on eBay a few weeks ago for about $30. She put up a fight, but the final price was still excellent.
