MY FIRST NUTRIA

I won this Stetson Nutria Quality, on ebay a few days ago. Just finished doing my stuff to it. The previous owner's name and date were inscribed in the liner.

I hesitated to mess with its provinance, but I decided to use a "Spray 'n' Wash Stain Stick" and a cold water soak. Turned out nicely, I think.

This was the general shape. (Note: The front of the hat is to the right.)

Here's what it looks like, after I cleaned and reshaped it (by hand, no block).

I was able to retain the snap brim. Here it is down.

And when up, it has a nice "cowboy" curl.

The color is that hard to find shade of grey. (The before picture is not color accurate.) Oh yeah, total cost including shipping, $25.74. I think I'm going to like this hat!

Yes, I didn't want any ink in the felt.

I think so. My wife likes the brim down in back, as well as in front. And my friend from Mexico doesn't like it turned down, at all. [huh]

Duck, I honestly had not measured the brim, till now. It's right at 3".
