Yeah, I concur, although the black Fed looks great on him, too, but in another way. That old Stetson looks to be a quite versatile, and it's of an extraordinarily high quality, even by vintage standards. That he got it so cheap tempts me to go back to cruising eBay, a habit I have all but broken.

Another Nutria find, great job. Does yours have a fairly stiff brim? Mine was extremely stiff but the crown is very soft which yours is too obviously. You did a fantastic job on the cleaning and shaping, it looks nothing like the original pic. Felt is so resilient that you can really bring them back to life.

Are we going to have to start a Nutria Club now?

Yes, the brim was stiff, crown softer. Cleaning removed some of the stiffener, which for my taste is a good thing.

As far as a Nutria Club goes, feel free to use this thread for your posts, or to start another. I look forward to seeing any and all!
