Ha! that's all right. I was wearing my Pith helmet around the house last night, and its not that hot yet. So that is a vintage hat not one of the Heather felt offerings from black sheep hat works?

I don't post every blue hat I have here, but this one is worth looking at I think. The colour made me buy it despite the short brim . Halali in blue (regatta), raw edge brim at 5 cm and crown 9cm at the pinch. Lovely blue colour.

Thanks. I'm very very slowly warming up to them, Mike. But they might as well have thrown in the extra bunny for the 1cm extra brim I want. I have another example coming (watch the Borsalino brotherhood thread for that one).

Stefan, As I mentioned in the German - Austrian thread it's from Max Weise Berlin. Is it possible the brim was altered?

Great advert that, Steve. It's hard to say if the brim was cut, because it's a raw edge brim. Looking at the advert it's possible the part with the binding was cut off at one point. The perpetrator would deserve 30 lashes for that at least (more if you ask Joao).

Stefan, Thank you! It has Dillenburger for Farbe. Dillenburg is town not too far from Lauterbach Blitzenrod where Wegener is located. It might have something to do with Dillenburg being a good regional location for the Blue Hour but just a guess. There is a blue motif (sweatband, ribbon, felt) to the hat. Here is a photo of me wearing it.

Steve, thanks for posting that. The deep blue colour really comes across in the daylight. Really like these blue homburgs; they do have something special.
