PAUL BLEY (November 10th, 1932 – January 3rd, 2016, RIP)
I wonder where those guitars are today...

There's a line in "Nadine" that goes "Downtown searchin' for her, lookin' all around, saw her gettin' in a yellow cab headin' uptown." When I was 12 y.o. I was listening to that and heard him doing this weird riff starting with the word "headin'". Coolest thing I'd ever heard. I must have listened to it thirty times whilst trying to figure it out on guitar, and I finally did. It was the first time I actually accomplished something like that on my Christmas-present Sears Silvertone guitar, and I was hooked. I'll bet there are thousands of others who had the same experience with Chuck.RIP Chuck...

I have wondered if his buying the recipe for Popcorn Sutton's corn liquor & taking it legal was strictly a business decision made for profit or whether other thoughts were involved there.Hank in a Strat

J. Geils dies (RIP)
I saw them many years ago, in a blurry haze mind you, opening for the Rolling Stones in Seattle. RIP Mr. Geils.I tried like heck and couldn't find a pic of Mr. Geils in any kind of hat. Danny Klein always pimped it out, though, often wearing a pinkish-purple tux while playing and a decidedly wide-brimmed hat.
