We don't watch "The Voice" but it was on last night when we were eating out. Noticed some headgear amongst the contestants.

Maybe it's a trend. I see some wide brims here too. This season more contestants wore hats than the previous season.
That seems to be a semi-recent addition to his wardrobe. For years he was known for his fondness for ball caps; specifically John Deere's green ball caps.Seasick Steve

It's got nothing to do with hats. Those clowns would come out on stage with their shoe laces tied together if their advisors told them it would help ratings & get them remembered.Ratings are inversely proportional to brim width?

Yeah, I had noticed that. He doesn't strike me as the kind of person who would "play dress up" as part of a marketing scheme designed to sell more albums and CDs, but who knows? He's getting up in years, and now that he's had some money rolling in for a while he might be thinking about leaving something for his wife and sons when he's gone. If wearing a western hat helps to accomplish that goal, so be it.It's in support of his new double album "Keepin' the Horse Between Me and the Ground". Nice stache too...no trimming required.Honored to call this blues player a friend. Roy (Bookbinder) has oodles of great caps/hats.

Thx for sharing some Hank. It's real. I don't think he put it down much differently when he wrote it.a musician in a hat hacking away at a song written by a guy who always wears a hat
I got to the studio early this morning and was feeling froggy so I figured I would try to not completely destroy Hanks song ...
here is proof that this drummer should stay away from guitars and singing
my favorite Hank Jr. song
