Anyone familiar with these short brims? Or, the Mr. Green label?

It occurred to me that years from now, when hat devotees look back at photos of "fedoras" of the turn of the 21st century, these are the types of styles that will pop up as vintage. I wonder if future hat lovers will attempt to collect original 2009 hats as we do the classic toppers of the thirties and forties.

[huh] Only time will tell.....

I don't like the shape or style of the hats but the silk tie fabric band sure is a cool idea.

I actually have a couple of them, albeit one purchased at a GREATLY reduced price than they advertise and the other a gift. The two I have are more in the traditional vein than those pictured. They are fashion styled hats, though, and that can be a problem. The brown I have I had to ditch the band it came with, rebash it so the taper wasn't so drastic and then throw a typical grosgrain on it. The felt is nice, but more velvety than usual.

All in all, I wouldn't pay full price and, unless it's a deal or gift, won't get another.

Had to ditch the band?

Sir: I'm curious about your having to ditch the band the hat came with as that looks to me to be the best feature of the hat. Apparently, in person, that is not the case.
