ive wanted a pair of monkey pants for a while now, the only problem is that they go for like $800+. i was wondering what the best most accurate reproduction is around say $150-250. i know that the real mccoys is usually the gold standard for repros but their pair is like $450.

USMC P-44 Utility Pants
In 1944, USMC (US Marine Corps) started using the P-44 pants, also known as the ‘Monkey Pants’. They are the most well-known and distinctive trousers within the USMC.

Here the fit is like jeans but you can spec it differently I think, lucky they cut it this way probably using the same pattern from my previous jeans order because I like this cut better than baggy legs, the price is also way way sub $100 at least as a local order
I order through local market place app , but I chat through its IG to the owner about my measurement and things i wanted like the buttons to be closest to the edges as possible, perhaps they accept international order from their IG i don't know, just try.
I think you can ask for laurel leaf donut buttons too or perhaps the stars ww2 buttons as I see those buttons sold too here in my country indonesia, but i pick normal plastic olive green button to look more seamless
