Mode Edge Sovereign Stetson

I won this one on ebay the other day, auction no. 270341963829. I noticed the wind trolley and cavenaugh edge on the photos. Does anyone know what date this hat may have been made? Thank you,

Speaking for myself, I'm lazy about chasing down the auction by number.

Do please post photos of this hat when you get it and we'll take a stab at determining what it's all about. Sounds like a real good hat.

You're gonna be very happy with this hat. For what it's
worth, I'd say that logo, the material used in the liner, etc.,
point to mid-to-late 40s. Sovereign quality with a Mode Edge
from the 1940s. Sigh.

That is one stylish and well built hat in one of the most
versatile colors. Quite a wide brim, too.

Sorry for the second and third pic being blurry. Also, for whatever reason, the edge looks dingy, which it is not [huh] . I hope yours is as nice, as I was lucky enough to score mine for about thirty bones.

You will not be disappointed. It's...beefy. I mean, it's just a solid, solid hat. And, you can do all kinds of cool stuff with the crown.

Kiltie, Great looking hat! I just hope my is in as nice shape. By the time I get it, the hat will be three times what you paid for. You were really lucky on that one. I am glad just to get a nice one for once.

Thanks for the observation on the other Sovereign. I might have bid on a similar one back last fall.

I did get an Imperial Stetson last September that is similar, with a smaller brim, no wind trolley and a ribbon covered edge instead of the mode. I will try to post a photo if I remember.

I got quite a few hats over the last two years and I keep intending to post some photos when I get some free time.
