Machine wash on wool program at 30C here.

By the way, now both stink like hell  so I’m going to trash them later today...:)
On second thoughts, dry cleaning would get rid of the smell and then when you wear them a few times they will acquire a natural odour (or odor in US English).

Searching for product reviews in the net i found a review at Mr.Bezos shop claiming the same issue, just didn’t believe it.

In fact this Welbeck has been by very far the most pungently, chemically stinking piece of clothing I ever held in hands, skinning my face stripewise only holding my nose over it...

Had a solid base of mineral oil with a crescendoing center all on screen printing paint and an intense head note of plastic softener with a splash of mothballs...:)

May have possibly been a Monday-piece but there will for sure not happen a second try on my shelf...;)

As I said, I am really surprised by this and wish you’d tell OK that in this instance they’re ‘not Okay’ (sorry!).

On a much happier note, I have received the Navy sub sweater I ordered from
Peter Christian, which matches the ecru OK sub I’ve had for years but surpasses OK in the fit and the length of the turn back cuffs. It’s love at first sight! Too warm to wear it yet but I can’t wait. I’ll post some photos when I get a spare moment but probably on the fishermen’s sweaters thread.

Ordered a Last year’s Boss Akromiz at half price as a tryout replacement.

In case this should not be sufficient I’ll take a RYMHART instead, what should last longer than than me then...:)

Cheers

I’m really sorry this has happened and hope it won’t put you off OK.
I am sorry to see that you had problems with the OK sweaters, I have always found them to be excellent. You should complain to them.
I tend to wash mine by hand in Persil Silk & Wool, then dry them supported on an outside washing line, they come up fine and smell very fresh indeed.
