No, not yesterday, but I shall today.[
And were you wearing a WP?!
No, not yesterday, but I shall today.
It is still cool enough for WPs, I am in RAF Crew Neck WP at the moment.
In another thread I said that I had used OKW's recent discount to buy a Welbeck WP. In fact, I changed my mind at the last minute and chose a black '1945' WP. It's one of their new versions, modelled on the original WW2 and 1950s prototype of the Woolly Pully. I'm wearing it at the moment as I am working form home, but I shall probably take it off when I go out as it's really too warm for WPs today unfortunately! However I wanted to try it out. It's a very good fit, slightly coarser wool than the conventional WP (a harder yarn - a bit more like the Guernsey but not as thick). The sleeves are quite long and the shoulder patches are much larger than those of the standard WP (there are no elbow patches) and the crew neck can be tightened or loosened a bit with the drawstring, although this feature is largely ornamental. Overall I'm going to enjoy wearing it: it's a stylish historical 'take' on the Woolly Pully and looks/feels great.
Do you have a link for where you purchased it from?In another thread I said that I had used OKW's recent discount to buy a Welbeck WP. I have a couple of those, which colour did you get.?
Black. I like it a lot and I think I shall get the Army Green next time.
I Have one of those in Black and one in Army Green.
I agree, it is a bit warm now for a WP, although I was in a Navy one 1st thing this morning.
It is cooler this afternoon and I am wearing my sand crew neck WP, not worn it for a while.
Of course, OKW is Outdoor Knitwear, why didn't I realize that? Thanks, it's a beautiful looking sweater. Too bad shipping is absurd to the US and none of my friends are stationed in England anymore. When I get time I will reach out to them and see if I can provide them with a pre-paid FedEx Express label as I get a great discount through my employer and it is cheaper than what they charge to send.Outdoor Knitwear. www.outdoorknitwear.com

I look foward to them!Very good luck. It's worth getting. When I get time I shall post some photos.
