A lovely couple that we know had the best Christmas present ever last year, the birth of their son. His arrival followed months, probably years of fertility difficulties. Six weeks ago that baby was rushed into hospital with very serious medical problems, his life hung in the balance. So it's wonderfully heartwarming to know that the little fellow is out of danger and on the road to a full recovery.

At first the medics were uncertain about their diagnosis, but they soon discovered that the boy had glandular fever, and now having been treated and well cared for they have him home. I saw the family yesterday, everyone as flushed and excited over Christmas as they were last year. Some gifts are just priceless.

Here's wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. And a special message to Cindy, thinking of you, as I'm sure everyone on The Lounge is. Daniel is safe now, you carry him in your heart. Peace be with you dear lady.

Aww that was a kind and heartfelt message, And you've hit the nail on the head, Christmas isn't about, or shouldn't be about commercialism and money, the simple gift of having a loved one with you should be sufficient. As some scruffy little urchin once said, God bless us,every one.
