Merry Christmas everyone. Here is an old seasonal greeting given by Spanish hat makers to their customers in the beginning of the 20th century.

Since I rarely see anything like a "winter wonderland," I've written my own lyrics to that song:

My roomate in college was Russian Orthodox; and they celebrated on January 7. Then the following week, they celebrated "old new year." I imagine, with the long, dark winters of St. Petersburg, they jumped on any opportunity to throw a party.

Actually, Rudolph is a "she" ... not a "he"! Reindeer males loose their antlers in late fall. Only females - and castrated males - keep their antlers over Christmas. Sometimes reality can be so disappointing
