Here is my "acting debut. I played a French soldier in a Vietnamese TV series. We shot a few scenes in the countryside of north Vietnam. I don't know how accurate the kit was, but it was what the costume department gave us to wear. Fun day for all involved.

^^Wow, great opportunity, Asienizen. Is that a U.S. pistol belt you're wearing?

Thanks Wb. But honestly I don't know if it is a US pistol belt. The TV station doing the filming is a public station, so they got their gear from the Vietnamese army. I assume that the army just gave them a bunch of material captured during the 30 years of intermittent war. I saw a smattering of French, American, Chinese, and Russian gear. I had a French SMG in one scene, then an American Springfield 03 in the next, then a Browning 1917 later. I'll try to pay better attention next time, but you probably know more about that gear than I do.

Here`s a picture of me, as a recruit, becoming a sergeant in 72, taken at an airfield strip in Denmark.
I believe most of the gear I wear, originally was american, including the Garand Rifle. But this was how we were equipped those days. Our parade uniform however was very danish...making us look like a bus driver, when wearing it.

Lee - You look good :), but where are the cameras?

Concerning Danish Garands, a few years ago there were a lot of those imported to the US, and people like them a lot since they are accurate and very well kept - thanks, Alsendk. (Unlike imported Korean Garands which were mostly in terrible shape.)
