Hello Everyone , New guy here , I'm a big fan of the Akubra hats , I own 4 with one on the way . But my favorite hat is a snap brim Fedora that I bought 7 years ago at the only Hatter I know of in Toronto , It was made by Mayser in West Germany ,very Indy looking , I have little knowledge of hats but I know I what I like . I have found no info. on this company on the net . Does anyone know if this company produces many hats and what sort of reputation do they have in the Hat world .

Here's a web site in German. It looks like Mayser makes lots of things other than hats, but if you click on the link that says "Kopfbedeckungen", which is something like "head coverings", it'll take you to another place . . . oh, I just looked again and there's a little british flag, which I assume translates it all into English. In any event, after Kopfbedeckungen there's a page entitled Hute & Mutzen, which I think is something like hats and caps, and then a place to click on there entitled "Kollektion." That'll take you to some things to click, e.g., Heeren HW 2004/2005, which is men for fall & winter (Herbst und Winter) 2004/2005, which then gets you into some pics. Boy, trying to think auf deutsch makes me want a Beck's.

Thanks Budward! I found the site and was able to translate it into English. They have quite a selection. It's a very nice hat, and I alway's wondered about it's origin. Thanks again!
