The announcer in the beginning of the clip was Leo Carrillo who happened to play Pancho in the TV series--The Cisco Kid! He was one of my favorites back in the 1950's.
Thanks Amy Jeanne! What a great clip. Two of my Golden Era favorites, together, and in Technicolor.
Bing was a young guy there, but doesn't Pickford look great! She was 41 in 1934...still "America's Sweetheart"...even if her movie career was behind her.
Oh Amy that was beautiful!!!
Love the music, Crosby's white flannel trousers, Mary's dress ,the location, love the year (1934). And can I say yet again: "May The Golden Years Live Forever" (and ever and ever...)
