Oh, come on! How else do you combat boredom on the Island for that long?

HA! Why people are actually brought up on charges for this I'll never know.

But you young ones don't understand. It is Mary Ann.
Pure, sweet innocent girl next door. It is not Ginger for petes sake. :p lol
Seriously, 69 years old. Grow up.

Yeah... she was a darling. I liked her better than Ginger.

But still - what a waste of time and pointless humiliation for all concerned.

My post was less about the pot and more about vintage Mary Ann.
The only step that would be more shocking would be Gidget.

Opie is our only hero. lol
Have to keep some memories pristine.

I dunno, it will probably be good for her career. I don't do drugs, but pot doesn't seem too threatening these days. I drive most of the day and I see people smoking it on the freeways all the time, it's probably safer than using a cell phone while driving.

Foofoogal, I don't want to ruin it for you but I think BR549 does a song about smoking pot with Opie by the duckpond...

You know, if my parents (in their 60s) were smoking a doobie once in a while, I'd get a real kick out of it! They drink, so why not? I bet they'd have fun! ;)

My mom gets splitting migraines that can have her at bed rest for days at a time. I offered her some *good* pot one day, and about once a month she'll smoke a bowl. Hasn't had a migraine since. She's almost 60. It's actually a riot to see her smoke.

I agree, still can't believe people get busted for this. I bet Tina Louise gave it to her.

*Throws stone.*

Lolita, I am with you, I will cast a stone. As for the question, why not? Number one is because it is against the law for crying out loud. For those who bothered to read the entire article, she was driving erratically ("According to the sheriff's office report, Gutierrez pulled Wells over after noticing her swerve and repeatedly speed up and slow down"). It saddens me to hear of her trouble, but she made her choice, now she can deal with the results. After all, life is about choices for all of us, including aged stars.
