Marcel clips?

Does anyone know if there are any modern companies that sell marcel curlers/clips? I don't mean the "claw" ones, but rather the flat barrette type clips. I've seen a number of pictures of vintage sets on Pinterest, but haven't been able to track down an affordable vintage set or a modern equivalent. I don't want to use heat on my hair all the time, but I can't sleep with wave clips in my hair (I've tried!). Any suggestions?

Look on eBay for Mervin clips or Mervin wavers. You might have to by from several sellers because people seem to only have a few in their collections.

Little out of my price range I'm afraid. I'd love to get some Mervins, but to get enough to do all my head would be well over $100. That's just a bit too much for me to spend on hair clips! I did manage to recently find a slightly different type of 1920s clip which were inexpensive, but I only have 3. They were badly damaged and rusted (hence the cheap price), but I restored them and they work great. I just wish I had more to be able to do my entire head. Oh well, I may try DIYing something...

Check both Ebay and Etsy. You may have to alter your keywords. I've found several at a pretty low price. Sometimes you have to buy from a few different sellers if you're willing to get a good deal. I know the type you're talking about and they do seem to be harder to find. Awhile back I had found one good set of those flat clips, not the pinch claw type. But I haven't found any since then. I think it's a matter of timing and luck.
