My New Gannon in Navy Blue, with a 2" Vintage Steel Blue Ribbon..

I dont know why but every Gannon is so perfect and so different, and the way I work with Michael in a way that is always fluid, fast, a couple of ideas, some explaining 2 or 3 mails and BUM a great hat emerges..

This one is a thing of beauty, maybe my niccest Gannon, no, wait, the Silvermist mmm the Powder Blue, not the red Black Cherry, maybe the Black Black Cherry, or the Bone with Rust? Hard to decide

Dang those are GREAT lids! It just keeps getting better. The blue felt has me thinking of how I might wear a blue hat. Silvermist - don't you just love the way it can adapt to colors around it. Matt, I like your neater, kept appearance in comparison to Johnny Depp. Johnny has the pirate panache thing going on in spades.

Wear them in pride fellows!

My comment was meant to be funny, that's why the emoticon. On the topic of price though Northwest Hats is not much more expensive, $200 for rabbit and $250 for beaver.

I am in the Puget Sound area. Monroe, WA. Below are my drive times to the 5 "local" hatters. All times are with good traffic.

Art (Vintage Silhouettes), 7 and a half hours
Mike (Northwest Hats), 5 hours
John (Penman Hats), 3 and a half hours
Michael (Gannon Hat Company), 3 hours
Bob (Black Sheep Hatworks), 1 and a half hours

I grew up in Kent, WA. Will try and see Bob at BSHW in December. He has my taupe 50's Royal Stetson for cleaning and re-flanging the brim... and a new liner.

Does BSHW have a brick and mortar shop? I have not searched for his website, just taking everyone's word for his abilities. Sounds like a road trip!
