Looks great despite the quick pix. Definitely share some more when you Hage the opportunity and thanks. This afternoon my package from Mr. Gannon arrived. I am on the run and took a couple of quick pics. I share them below with the caveat that they are in crazy afternoon light alternating with snow flurries and open sky. A dark felt is hard to photograph on the best of days.
I emphasized the crease in the charcoal beaver felt that the hat arrived in and then took the above pics. Stay tuned...more to come.
Best, Eric -
New hats, new thread: I used my birthday as an excuse to order three hats from Michael Gannon in the past month. I got a rabbit in sahara and later ordered beavers in sage and steel. The steel beaver was a custom order with an open crown and 2 3/4" brim. The other two have 2 1/2" brims and crowns that are gently shaped but ready for any bash really.
I bashed the sahara rabbit to a teardrop using a steamer Michael recommended. The sage still has the center dent pinch front that Michael shaped when he made it. I had some fun with the steel but it's also a teardrop now.
Michael's customer service is terrific and all three hats are comfortable, stylish, and well-made.
To the pix!
Thanks Blackjack, happy turkey day!Really really like the looks of that sahara and sage man.... good looking hats that look great on you!!!!!!
NICE! That crown looks bigger than 6 inches. Does it rake back a bit? Or is it the pic? Whatever it is I like it.
That does appear to have a slight rake.
Thats what I thought too but that rake is in both diff pics. If so I'm really curious abt a raked open crown cuz if so, once the bash is done it could possibly look REALLY EXCEPTIONALLY great!pretty sure thats the angle the pic was taken at and the fact that the brim is snapped with no bash can add an odd affect
