For lunch the nurse brought a bowl of warm water with hint of chicken fragrance. (broth)
plain light color jello that has no flavor.
Tomorrow...I'll make my escape from this hospital & have some "Man food"...
Had a spicy chicken sandwich from Chik-fil-a with extra Texas Pete hot sauce then a big ol' cup of coffee from the Starbucks next door.

I was out of townI like the sound of that combo. :eusa_clap
The only issue I have with the chicken, is the sodium.
I only eat it when we go out of town, because I can hold it and drive.
With the new car though, I'm not sure food is allowed.
Coffee and a protein bar for lunch, due to a large project coming up next week.
That sounds like the ticket!A half-pound ribeye steak and two tablespoons full of worcestershire sauce. Let's see the anemia survive that.
I had Chik-fil-A spicy sandwich today too! Great minds.......

Costa Rican tamales, compliments of our former Costa Rican neighbor.
I'm pretty sure the meat in these was chicken, but they were also full of vegetables - carrot, potato, bell peppers green beans, sweet peas, chickpeas, green olives, and the seasoning was heavy on the saffron. Steamed in banana leaves, each one was about the size of a plate. I used to eat her cooking often when we lived next door.Costa Rican Tamales ?
I've tasted tamales made from roast beef, beans, pork, chicken & even deer meat...:eeek:
but never Costa Rican tamales...:essen:
